Entering the MA in Textile Futures, we were given our first assignment: Take 6 unused garments and find a way to bring them new life, thinking about words that start with the prefix "re". I searched the streets for discarded clothing, and decided to run the six pieces through a system.
Each piece was documented with drawings recording its structure. It was then broken apart into flat strips of material. Those strips were then refashioned into the form of another garment in the system.
